What versions are supported
We support on-premise Dynamics 365 versions 8.2 to 9.x, but only duplicate detection is available in the on-premise version.
All features are fully supported in all online versions.
Is Power Apps supported
Yes, we support Power Apps the same way as Dynamics 365 Online.
Can the Data Quality App update data from an external source?
Yes, using our Data Quality Rules, you can create a new rule called "Flow" and connect it to any external data provider. This allows you to validate or update your data in real-time. You can also auto-populate data using this feature.
Is it possible to create multiple rules for the same entity
Yes, unlimited rules on any entity.
Is it possible to create unlimited Data Quality Rules
Yes, we support all enteties and we have no limits on rules.
Is it possible to run ‘Bulk-Merge’ on all entities?
Yes, on all write-able entities.
If 'Allow Save Duplicate' is set to No, but the script is not added to the form, will it still prevent users from creating duplicates
Yes, it will prevent the user. The script on the form is only used to display the duplicate detection warning. If the script is not enabled, an error will still be shown to the user.
When performing a bulk merge and selecting 'Include related,' will child records be reassigned to the master record

Yes, you can select which system view that you want to use, when duplicates are detected.

Default duplicate detection can only detect data that the user has access to. Is it possible to configure it to detect all data in the system, regardless of the user's security role
Yes, you can configure how duplicates are detected by setting this for each duplicate rule.
What does the ‘Run as User’ do?
You can use this setting to detect duplicates based on the security role of the user. This setting is applied per duplicate rule.
What does the ‘Run as System’ do?
You can use this setting if you want it to detect all data in the system, regardless of the access rights of the running user. It will not grant the user additional access; it will only use this setting to scan for duplicates.
Can the Data Quality App detect duplicates across all entities?

Is there a report that shows result of duplicate detection?
Yes, when you run the duplicate detection, you can view the duplicates in the result window or open the report, you can export result to excel or PDF.
Will the Data Quality App also detect duplicates from the integration between CRM and other systems?
Yes, if you set ‘Allow Save Duplicate’ to No, it will detect duplicates, regardless of whether they come from the user or the integration.
